If you were to ask my wife if I was an angel, she would probably tell you I am the closest thing to an angel she has ever seen, and if that qualifies me then yes I am one. However, if you were to ask me if my WIFE is an angel, I would tell you she will be one day once she really begins to understand what she can do.
When I was “wife hunting” I really was looking for someone that could see the truth in me. Someone who could believe that there really were people out there who could make such an intense difference in the lives of others that it would be as if Jesus himself touched them. Plus, I wanted a girl who could openly discuss God even if she did not grow up with structured religion. My wife fit the bill in all kinds of ways, but most of all, she Loved me and she never wavered on that.
When I look at my young daughter and I try to be the model dad for her, I tell her that if she can find a guy like me, then she would be doing a great job. And of course she says, but you are my daddy! To which I reply, “But Maddy, in your eyes, I should be the MODEL of a man, and the MODEL of an angel.” And she laughs at me because she still thinks angels fly around in heaven and that they are not the kind of beings that show up in her house. But as time goes by and she gets to know me even more and she reads my books, I think she will better understand who she is and what she can do.
My advice to people is that you should find a spouse who is not only okay with a Christian man or woman as a spouse, but someone who is THRILLED to learn about God’s family and how they can contribute to it. So reader, if you are unmarried, if you want a quality spouse, I suggest you track down the most holy person you can find, and then explain to them that you want to grow in your faith.
Of course, if you feel you are an angel, well then you probably already know what to do. :)
My wife is an amazing woman who has put up with a lot of challenges over the years, but the one thing she never seems to worry about is my intentions. She knows I am in this relationship to help her and to help our daughter. She knows I love her and she knows I would never do anything to hurt her. At this point she knows that I am an angel and I really do think she believes at a really high level, but one thing that I have notices about her belief is that she does not seem to think I should work as hard as I do. But once again she feels this way for my own good. When I am wiping out hordes of demons, and I mention it to her, she just tells me not to stress myself out in the process. That is probably just a loving wife though. I am guessing other angels go through the same thing.
